
Conversion Building
Sometimes you have too many seeds. Sometimes you have too much food. As the game goes on and on we're gonna end up with 999999999.... I can stop exaggerating now... Carrot seeds or other items. What about a building that converts things from one stage to another but at a loss.
Call it the Wizard's Tower or whatever you want it to be. Maybe link it to Combat because you know... they get magical powers as they fight...They level up their power level to 9000 and discover their midifloridians in the muck of their enemies. Whatever.
I understand the idea that you want farming to mimic real life in some way so by coding in it to not be as good as planting and waiting you avoid that. I do see possible problems if forgetting about things that don't go seed -> product -> seed, so just have to adjust those numbers. This doesn't have to be limited to farming. The idea could be used for any skill.

This could be a new skill, Alchemy.
Alchemy could be a cool thing to do, have it so you can break down anything to 'elemental base items' (with that either being a singular item of similar name or they break down into 'essence of fire/wind/water/earth/spirit' and different items give different amounts of each)
Then you can have the option to recombine these new resources into other items, obviously it would be quicker/cheaper/easier to just mine the ore and make bars and then an item, but you could take let's say a steel bar, use alchemy to break it down into elemental pieces and then reform it into a cedar log
would be a nice way to use up some of these resources that people are overflowing with (beast scraps, hardwood logs, feathers, ect)

I believe this is very important to add. A conversation about this topic occurred in world and can help the developers see a contrary opinion.

^ This is exactly how I feel.
I liked the idea about the additional game mechanic and not having to be seed related but anything, could convert higher level resources to lower or vice versa or mining materials to logs or anything on the lis(but at a loss so as to keep the other mechanics as the 'best' source),
I agree that farming is good the way it is and yes life should be planned around you gam... wait... :P
