
New timer threshold sucks, maybe stack food for longer duration?
Ok I like the idea of limiting the output of food, I am all for it. But when the food threshold does not line up with an aura its really painful to be efficient.
Before this update I would alternate between using my aura when I had enough AP to get min timer and then use food while waiting for that to charge up again.
But now I am forced to balance between two different duration's on food and aura (no possible way to make up the timer with equipment) and so now it is MUCH more tedious than before. (checking game every 44min then 23 min alternating) now it is check at 23, 44,46,69,88,92 etc.
If there were foods that matched every single time for auras I would maybe be in favor, but then the food would be tedious to make. It just seems like this could be implemented differently. Perhaps food can only get to the threshold but more could be used to stack up the duration?

i agree that aura should be more of a thing. equipment as well, but current equipment that I CAN use gets me 3 whole seconds closer to a 10 second timer. aura 15. so, 18 of 30 seconds with aura. sure, I can do a bit of gong banging to get another 3 aura seconds so i've got 21!! WOOHOO. but, then my aura wears off and i need to wait for it to recharge.. so, like you said, i have to only use 1 or 2 aura at a time so that I can at least keep the timer below 30 for a more sustained period.
yes, the added challenge is probably something this game needs.
the problem lays in that some players have used the previous system to level so high that they CAN use equipment that reduces their timer to 10s. i hate being one of those "this isn't fair blah blah blah" kind of people, but it is a pretty MAJOR game change that leaves those at the top at a huge advantage over those at the bottom or haven't yet started yet. something like this IS needed, progression SHOULD be slower, so i think that this update calls for something more like a complete wipe of progress gained so far; if something like an algorithm to put everyone where they SHOULD be if this update was always there, doubt that's going to happen though.
instead, why doesn't meditating at the farming alter actually add experience to my farming aura? that would make aura a much cooler thing. instead if just adds +5 OVERALL aura xp after a very long timer.. but before that I need to plant seeds on a very long timer(yes, food can decrease but meh). IMO though, this kind of update should have been made BEFORE a massive nerf was put in place to give players a chance to change their play style.
