Make icons for Admins, Mods, and Premium/Premium Plus
A little icon next to the users name so that people know.
I'm not 100% sold on it yet, but i'm interested in people's thoughts

There should definitely be something for admins and mods to give them authority. If they're not always on duty when they're online, this should show their current status.
In terms of Premium/Premium Plus, I personally don't care either way, as long as it doesn't make chat too cluttered (little icons shouldn't do, but if it's a little icon on either side of the name, a dynamic "glitter" or marquee effect on the entire text, or coloured text, that could easily make chat unreadable).
It was brought up in chat that a downside is that this lets Premium users flaunt their status. I think that's fine since it has no bearing on the actual gameplay, and it's precisely these little gestures that encourage players to invest real money in a game without pay-to-win mechanics.
(Though personally, I'm much more likely to be convinced to donate by a "We're 17% [£xx/£xxx] of the way to covering the server costs for this month" progress bar like I've seen in games based on Legend of the Green Dragon.)
Instead of filling chat with random junk I would rather see custom avatars and maybe a special icon on the profile
I'm not sure if a special icon on the profile is necessary: the account status is already listed there in text form, which (at least at this point) is probably more recognisable than a new icon would be.
In terms of custom avatars, I think that's something that could be purchased with Shield Tokens regardless of Premium status. Players could also purchase multiple avatars (paying for each one) and switch between them freely.
If you were suggesting putting these custom avatars in chat, I'm not sure how well that would work given the size constraints. The default font size in chat is quite small, and the icons would have to scale accordingly to avoid breaking the flow. Although even at small sizes, it would still be visible that the person has a custom avatar, even if the details aren't visible.
I think for mods/admins it is definitely necessary, we need to know who is being a backseat moderator, and who is telling the proper information. Also this allows for accountability if a mod is in the wrong or being unprofessional, they should be held to a higher standard than a normal player.
For Admins and Mods Yes. I think they should have an anonymous Name and a Chat color for their use only. Anonymity so they do not get harrassed for doing their Job. And a Separate color so its noticed.
And i don't care about The Premium and Premium Plus accounts. Whether they do or do not have an identifier
There needs to be accountability, anonymous moderatorship does not work well
I think he was just suggesting that their moderator name be allowed to be different from their in-game name; this doesn't affect accountability in anyway. So for example, I could be Lorinthar by day and Modinthar by night. Modinthar wouldn't worry about getting levels or anything; Modinthar would only have one job: to moderate. And Lorinthar would play the game as it was intended. The trolls wouldn't harass Lorinthar for anything Modinthar might have done because they wouldn't know the human behind the two names is the same.
Players should play and mods should mod or it gives people the perfect excuse to attack somebody for telling them what to do if they ask them to leave chat and aren't staff.
Also I think the game needs more moderators or moderators who are active at the same time chat is. I have seen harassment with no punishment.
I feel that the following 2 options would be good ways for mods to operate and keep the drama down to a minimum instead of having normal players try and assert themselves by asking people to leave chatrooms.
i. Mods should step forward and people should know who they are
ii. There should be a mod tool for them to use
There is a mod tool for them to use - the Mute User button to the right of chat that we can all see (but only mods can use).
I don't think premium or premium plus icons are necessary, however it's definitely needed to have a way to seperate moderators from players. You don't get to have the power to punish people without any of the accountability. If you do your job right and you're just and not muting people over disagreeing on an opinion and purely following the rules, then there should be no problems. I could only see a bad moderator want to turn off their moderator tag.
If you really feel the need to hide your moderator tag you shouldn't hold that power in the first place in my opinion.
I'm keen on it showing us who mods/admins are for sure, NO to showing who the premium users are- I don't feel it's necessary to flaunt any status around(except authority of course)...If you want to flaunt that you have premium, it's easy enough to say hey y'all I have premium and it rocks/whatever it is you wanna say about it- Too many other things that can/need done
I'm yes on staff being marked!
But no on premium/+ -- if this MUST be done I want a way to turn it off (for me being marked) and also a way of turning it off (so I dont have to see it if I dont want to) -- chat already feels crazy small. Cluttering it worse would not be cool.
I'm also no on anonymous mods. I actually truly hate that - it makes it impossible/extremely difficult to call out a mod who is abusing their status if a dev isn't around to see it.
Yes, I definitely agree. It's best if we know whether the one's commenting web admins or members of the community. It would also be helpful to include a badge such as top fan or a premium member.
I’ve seen a feature in summoners war game where they also do this kind of thing in their forums. I’ve been playing this game for more than four years and it's one of the best gacha/ hero collector’s games ever.
Another game that has kept my wits during the pandemic was the genie psychic Akinator. It’s an app that can tell you what you’re thinking by asking several random questions. I highly recommend you play akinator the web genie.
