Make posts about downtime
It would be much appreciated if there was some information about downtimes available during the downtime itself. Chat warnings about planned downtime are a nice supplement to this, but they don't help if the downtime is unplanned or if a player missed the message. There's a News section in this forum; perhaps that would be a good place to put it.

Would be especially nice to have some word if the downtime goes on longer than expected.
It would also be especially convenient if this information was on the game website directly (as a static page, so it would still allow any database or code changes to proceed) when possible. This would keep users from wondering if it's their connexion or the game that's down.
I need to decide how to do this but it's a great idea. I'm thinking possibly a separate website that you can connect to that pings the game every few seconds to show uptime. Would be awesome if it could use the logins from the game, but i'd have to decide how to do it. That would allow chat while the game is down.
